Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
Upgrades can boost the value of armor and weapons. However upgrading common gear is rarely worth the investment since uncommon or exclusive equipment can quickly surpass it.
Upgrades can be made to an item up to six times. Each upgrade will add to the item gauge.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade materials that can be used to increase the quality of an item's features. Glyphs are often used to improve the performance of a weapon or armor however they can also be used to improve an earring, hat necklace, or any other accessory. Glyphs can be found in various levels and are sold by vendors in Deneb. They can be very costly but are a worthwhile investment as they can boost the value of an item's stats.
A Glyph is an encoded character that is a representation of the shape of the letter, numeral or symbol. It has a distinct appearance and has a unique code which refers to it in various fonts. Besides regular letters, glyphs may contain special characters such as arrows or mathematical symbols. They may be used to represent symbols or icons that are utilized by a specific language. There are also ligatures which join two letters and swashes that are decorative symbols.
There are many kinds of glyphs and fonts can contain many variants. The default glyphs of Adobe Caslon(tm) Pro, for example, include all of the regular characters, along with ornaments, swashes and fractions, and ligatures. You can view these variations in the Glyphs Panel and then insert them directly into your document.
Glyph metrics are the parameters that determine how the glyph is placed when layouts for text are designed. They are determined by a combination of factors, such as the advance width and side bearings. These measurements are important to ensure that the glyphs appear correctly on the screen and will be properly displayed in text.
The Glyphs Panel is a powerful tool to create new design concepts for documents or to modify existing designs. It can display the whole font or a subset of it, for example, punctuation or math symbols. The panel can be resized, and is accessible via the Windows menu bar. Growthstones can be obtained from NPCs in the major cities or through the auction house for players. You can also collect them as a reward for the Ancient Arena Season. These items can be used to level weapons and armor, and also to upgrade Passive Skills.
Once you have enough Growthstones you can visit any Equipment Enchanting NPC and increase the upgrade level of your equipment. Growthstones are needed for various weapons, armor and accessories. You can also find Active Skill Growth Books and Passive Skill Growth Books at these NPCs, and the special Precious Skill Growth Book: Omnipotence can be used to improve your weapon's abilities to the maximum level.
You can upgrade your skills and equipment through these NPCs however, you'll need to spend a lot on the process. Each upgrade level is a set amount of Valorstones and crests and weapons typically cost the most. You'll also need to be able to complete certain quests to acquire the required materials. For instance, if you want to upgrade your armor, you'll require one of the three Power Dices dropped by monsters 21 and over and some Erons and Minerals.
Recycled Items
Recycled items are made either entirely or in part from materials that would otherwise been discarded. These materials include paper, plastics aluminum cans, glass bottles, or even electronics. Recycling helps reduce the need for new raw materials to be extracted from the Earth and helps conserve resources. This can reduce pollution in soil, water, and air and prevent environmental disturbances. It is important to understand what can and can't be recycled in order to maximize the recycling process. For instance, placing paper in your recycling bin could cause damage to recycling equipment and cause tangling problems for recycling facilities. Instead, you should use reusable grocery bags or cloth towels to decrease the number of plastics in the trash. Wire hangers can cause fires in recycling bins, and pose other hazards to facilities that handle recyclables.
The best option is to only recycle the items that your local recycling program will accept. You can check online for a list that lists accepted items in your region. Paper bags, tissue boxes and tin cans are usually recyclable. Glass food and beverage containers are generally accepted as well however, you must make sure you rinse them prior to putting them in the recycle bin.
The items that do not belong in your recycling are plastic grocery bags, batteries, and wire hangers. These items could cause fires at recycling plants and tangle trucks and recycling equipment. Instead, you should take these items to a drop-off point for recycling.
Suffix
Suffixes are upgrades that can be used to improve weapons and armor. They can be reclaimed by taking them off of items or purchased at a merchant using a Salvage Kit. Upgrades are color coded to indicate what kind of item they can be applied to. Identified upgrades are able to be sold to merchant for gold. Weapons can be upgraded with up to 2 prefixes as well as 1 suffix. Upgrades can only be applied to items of blue or higher rarity, such as the ones dropped from chests at the end of Factions and Nightfall campaigns. Items with upgrade components cannot be used to make new items.
A suffix is a word or group of letters that imparts meaning to a word that is larger, such as -tion in the verb create or phoria in the noun-feeling.
